Team Members

Amine M. Khoury is the founder and president of Eastwood College with two campuses in Mansourieh and Kafarshima.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Administration, and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from the American University of Beirut. He also holds a diploma in Theology and Philosophy from Cambridge University.

His passion for educating children formed his vision of founding a school of excellence at an early age of nineteen. Amine grew to see his vision become a reality. He has lead Eastwood College with great fervor, and inspired generations of learners to find success. Amine M. Khoury is an active member of the community and an ecumenical persona. He has served as Chairman of the Board of World Vision Lebanon for over 20 years. He also sits on the Board of the Bible Society and has been the Chairman since 2004.

Najib Y. Naimy joined Eastwood College in 1997 as a Legal Affairs Manager after six years of experience in legal services. He was granted his Master's Degree in Law with "Honors" in 1992, recognized with the "Best Trainee Lawyer Award - 1995" under the patronage of the Lebanese Parliament's Speaker and certified as a Trainer of Trainers in Jordan, Tunis, and Egypt under the auspices of the European Council for Human Rights.

Najib was assigned the management of the entire operation of the Kafarshima Campus in 2004 for the leadership expertise he demonstrated as an Assistant Director, the wisdom he practiced as a Student Affairs Executive, the guidance he presented as a Social Studies Coordinator, and the proficiency he fulfilled as a subject teacher. Najib's success is ultimately the outcome of his ongoing focus on strategic solutions, professional development, curriculum implementation, character education, team spirit, and empowering staff members.

Michel Khoury is the Director of Eastwood College's Mansourieh Campus. Michel is a graduate of the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He worked for many years in the financial sector, with jobs at Bear Stearns and Merrill Lynch before moving into the world of education. After receiving his Masters Degree in International Educational Development and Economics from Teachers College at Columbia University, Michel went on to become the Operations and Development Director for private schools in Los Angeles,California.

Michel worked in the public and private education sector in the United States before moving back to his home country of Lebanon, where he was asked to lead Eastwood College into the new century. Michel's innovation and relentless desire to integrate technology in education has made Eastwood College a pioneering school in the Middle East with regards to bringing technology to the most fundamental level of the school system - the classroom.

As an Apple Professional Development Consultant, Michel regularly gives workshops on how to better integrate technology in classroom learning environments and he has trained over 120 faculty members and administrators who now teach in Eastwood College's iPad program.

Joelle Khoury is the Director of Research and Academic Program Development of all Eastwood College schools. She is a graduate of the American University of Beirut and a received her Masters Degree from Teacher's College at Columbia University in Curriculum and Teaching.

After graduation, Joelle joined the Educational Sector at Booz & Co., which lead her to spearhead the work on the development of the Abu Dhabi Educational Council. Joelle is also a part of the Advanced Ed accrediting body in the Middle East, where she regularly travels and evaluates schools in the region that are applying for accreditation.

Her passion for educational development can be seen at Eastwood College where she currently heads the elementary division and works closely with students, teachers and parents.

Majida Harakeh joined Eastwood College Kafarahima in 1997 after earning her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut. Majida is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate since 2004. During her first decade working in an educational establishment, Majida held various posts such as computer teacher, IT coordinator, software programmer, yearbook designer, and Student Information Systems manager.

Majida was actively engaged in every area of the school, dynamically proposing and implementing advanced plans and efficiently offering solutions. Majida was appointed Assistant Director in 2007.

Empowered, trusted, and supported by her peers, Majida combines her accredited educational, managerial, and I.T. backgrounds to continuously make a difference at Eastwood College.
